Zonta Club of East Lansing Area, is one of over 1,200 clubs of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization. 
Founded in 1919 in Buffalo, New York, Zonta takes its name from the Lakota Sioux Indian word meaning "honest and trustworthy." 
Zontians volunteer their time, talents and energy to local and international service projects that are designed to advance the status
of women.

Zonta Club of East Lansing (ZCELA) Foundation is currently taking application for Grant Requests for 2017

Zonta Club of East Lansing (ZCELA) Business Awards 2017

Scholarship Application Deadlines: March 17, 2017.  All application materials must be submitted online in PDF format to: smithj56@msu.edu.

The Zonta Club of East Lansing encourages young women between the ages of 16 -19 (as of 4/1/17, to apply for the Young Women in Public Service 2017 scholarship award recognizing those who volunteer in leadership capacities and who support the empowering of women worldwide through service and advocacy.  The successful applicant will earn a $500 award and her application will be forwarded to compete at the Zonta District level for an additional $1000 award.  Successful District applicants will be forwarded for the opportunity to earn one of 10 Zonta International awards of $4000 each. 

 

The Zonta Club of East Lansing encourages young women who are undertaking a business or business related program at an accredited university/college/institute,  to apply for the Jane M. Klausman Women in Business scholarship award recognizing those who have achieved an outstanding academic record during her academic studies, including business-related subjects and demonstrated initiative, ambition and commitment to pursuing a career in business.  The successful applicant must be in her last two years at the undergraduate level through the final year of a Master’s program at the time of application. She will earn a $1000 Zonta Club of East Lansing award and her application will be forwarded to compete at the Zonta District level for an additional $1000 award.  Successful District applicants will be forwarded for 12 Zonta International awards of $7000 each.
