Detroit I                                                Club President - Kristine Armaly Shalla

Zonta Club of Detroit I is .....
one of over 1,200 clubs of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization.  Founded in 1919 in Buffalo, New York, Zonta takes its name from the Lakota Sioux Indian word meaning "honest and trustworthy."  Zontians volunteer their time, talents and energy to local and international service projects that are designed to advance the status of women.

Be a part of something much larger than yourself...

Zonta allows you to give of yourself to others, to actively participate in the selection of service projects to help your community, and to improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women worldwide.

Join Us.....
Since 1919,  we have attracted a diverse and dynamic group of professional women from the city of Detroit and the surrounding communities.

If you are interested in working together to advance the status of women in Detroit and beyond through outreach, education, and service, please join us the first Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the Detroit Yacht Club.
