The Zonta Club of Southfield began its legacy of service as the Zonta Club of Highland Park in 1929

• Z-Club for Southfield Middle School Girls - the Z Club program is one of Zonta International's service projects. Z Clubs provide opportunities for our youth to develop leadership skills, to explore career alternatives, and to improve international understanding through service projects. The Zonta Club of Southfield Area recently formed the Brace-Lederle/MacArthur Southfield Z-Club for girls in grades 6 - 8. For more information: www.zonta.org

 

• Junior Leadership Oakland - designed for high school students and promotes youth leadership through personal and professional development and community involvement opportunities in Southeast Michigan. For more information: www.leadershipoakland.com

 

• S.A.Y. (Super All Year) Family Health Clinic - established in 2008, this is the nation's first 24 hour/7 day a week clinic devoted solely to helping homeless children and their mothers. It provides both maintenance and preventative healthcare for the uninsured and underinsured. For more information: www.saydetroit.org

 

• Lighthouse Oakland PATH - at PATH, homeless women and children live in a safe, nurturing environment for two years. During those 24 months, they are given the time and necessary training to make the triumphant transformation from poverty to self-sufficiency. For more information: www.lighthouseoakland/path

 

• Sisters Acquiring Financial Empowerment (SAFE) - equips survivors of domestic violence with the appropriate financial tools and resources needed to enable women to leave or recover from the economic portion of domestic violence. For more information: www.newsafestart.org
